This head type provides a flat bearing surface under the head for seating in the pocket hole. Our heads are thicker than the average screw where the head joins the shank, helping to prevent breakage. Pan Head screws are unsed mostly in face frame assembly.
Fine Thread:used exclusively in harder woods such as Ash, Oak, Maple, Walnut, Hickory, Cherry, Mahogany or Birch. We recommend the 1-1/2" length for face frames.
